Become An Explorer

Take the next step to learn more about BV&F and see if we are the right fit

Becoming a BVF Explorer gives you a 30-90-day opportunity to focus on the issues relevant to you and the community.

You can attend monthly general meetings with Members and fellow Explorers, local Nashville social events, and virtual events several times a month.

Pay a non-refundable $150 (which will be applied to a future $500 member fee) and begin to experience all Burns Village & Farm has to offer. Now is a great time to see if BVF is a good fit for you as we approach design closure. We are still open to your input and individual needs until then

BV&F Explorers Have:

  • An opportunity to get to know us and our project firsthand and to start getting involved.

  • Access to online materials from the Awareness phase to the Consideration phase to the Decision phase, all with a member 'buddy' to help guide you.

  • An invitation to our every 4th Sunday Zoom meeting where we include you. Watch our consensus process and see how we conduct business team by team.

  • Access to our local social events like the weekly Saturday morning Richland Park Farmer's Market and luncheon afterward. A monthly site visit to see the land our future community will be built upon and much more.

  • An invitation to Zoom events like our social hour where we share snippets of our lives from prepared questions and Explorer Only meetings where Explorers can meet each other and share their questions and experiences with each other.

Want to Know More?

Would you like to hear more before committing to the Explorer Program? Attend our next virtual information session or a site visit. Meet some future neighbors and ask questions about cohousing, the farm, and our vision.

Visitors and members check out the land in front of the 200-year-old “Mother Oak.” On-site, you can see where the houses will be laid out to preserve this magnificent tree, plus see the view down the hill.

Happy people stand celebrate behind a table with a building design.

Members celebrated a successful common house workshop with the architect in January 2024. The common house is where we will have weekly community meals; it will also serve as an extension of our homes with lots of spaces for different activities.
